She Past Away sind ein gutes Beispiel, dass es nicht unbedingt einen großen Majordeal braucht um internationale Bekanntheit zu erlangen. Volkan Caner (Gesang & Gitarre) und Idris Akbulut (Bass) musizieren seit 2006 gemeinsam. Bisher erschienen eine EP und ein Album. Ein zweites Album befindet sich in Produktion und wird dieses Jahr veröffentlicht. SPA sehen sich in Tradition von Bands wie Sisters of Mercy, DAF oder Clan of Xymox. Eine große Eigenständigkeit erreicht ihre Musik nicht nur durch frische Melodien und guten Arrangements, sondern gleichfalls durch die durchgehend in türkisch gehalten Lyrics. Dies gibt den Songs eine große Eigenständigkeit und die beiden Musiker treten den Beweis an, dass es nicht zwangsweise die englische Sprache braucht um international gehört zu werden. Gleichzeitig zeigen SPA auch, dass türkisch eine Sprache mit sehr melancholischen Rhythmus und Tonalität sein kann…
